Resilia is an advanced concrete technology engineered for exceptional mechanical performance and durability. This ready-mix solution is designed to meet the most demanding construction challenges, providing both high strength and high ductility.

Getting started ...

How to use the Slab on Grade Tool

choose standards and setup in the slab calculator
Setup: Project Configuration

Once you have selected the Slab on Grade Module, start configuring your project by selecting the appropriate design standard and calculation approach. Choose whether to calculate the optimized slab thickness for your loading conditions or analyse a slab with a predefined thickness. You can also select the calculation methodologies that will be used to evaluate the slab's structural behaviour.

Setup: Materials Selection & Design Factors

Select and compare up to five concrete materials, including Cemex Resilia solutions and conventional concrete mixes. Custom material properties can also be defined to suit project-specific requirements. Adjust safety factors and k-factors to align the analysis with your design assumptions and local standards.

Choose materials in the slab calculator
Setup: Soil Structure Interaction

Define how the slab interacts with the supporting ground by selecting the appropriate subbase type and soil conditions. Additional membrane options can be included to reflect the intended construction detail and improve the accuracy of the analysis.

Set-up: Reinforcement Configuration

Configure reinforcement by selecting the reinforcement material and defining bar diameter, spacing, and layer position. Multiple reinforcement layers can be added to represent complex slab configurations and compare different design approaches.

Configure Loads - Pallet Racking

Define the loading conditions that your slab will experience throughout its service life. The Slab on Grade Tool supports multiple load scenarios commonly found in industrial and commercial environments, allowing you to model them individually or in combination. Configure pallet racking layouts and storage loads by defining rack geometry, leg loads, baseplate dimensions, and rack spacing. Optional Material Handling Equipment (MHE) interaction can also be included to evaluate areas where forklifts operate alongside storage systems.

Configure Loads - Material Handling Equipment (MHE)

Model forklift and vehicle loading by selecting the appropriate equipment class and defining wheel loads, wheelbase dimensions, contact areas, and load distribution factors. This helps evaluate the effect of dynamic traffic and repeated wheel loading on slab performance.

Configure Loads - Mezzanine

Assess the impact of mezzanine structures by defining column loads, grid spacing, support locations, and baseplate dimensions. The tool distributes these concentrated loads across the slab to evaluate structural performance under elevated storage or working platforms.

Configure Loads - Distributed Loads

Define uniformly distributed or linearly distributed loads across specific slab areas. Configure load intensity, dimensions, and placement directly within the slab layout, then visualize the load distribution using the interactive load map.

Run the Analysis

Generate design results based on the configured materials, reinforcement, soil conditions, and loading scenarios. Compare concrete solutions, review structural performance, verify design criteria, and identify optimized slab thickness requirements. You can output results in a variety of formats including Excel, SAP2000 and also generate a full PDF report.
